Casimir was born to the brittish master assassin James Eagle and a jewish woman named Anastazja. His parents were killed by templars disguised as policemen while he and his twin sister, Nadzia, were newborn. However, the templars decided to not kill the kids. Casimir and Nadzia grew up in Poznan, Poland, on a farm. At the age of five, Nadzia ran away in the forest and never showed up again. Not much is known about Casimir's childhood, but when he was nine year old, he scared away a bear that threatened the farm. After that event, he earned his last name, Niedzwiedz, which means "bear" in Polish.

Name[]

  • Casimir means "Peace sentinel", english version of the Polish name Kazimierz. Structured by the words kazic "to destroy" and mir "peace".
  • His last name, Niedzwiedz, means "bear" in Polish.
  • Unlike many other Assassin's (including Aquilus, Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Aveline de Grandpre, Nikolai Orelov and James Eagle) none of Casimir's names is connected to Eagles. Both his last name and his character resembles a bear.
